Customize your Partner ACS Phone System

So, you have decided on an Avaya Partner ACS. Every business has different communications needs, so we allow you to easily configure an Avaya Partner ACS phone system to your exact specifications.

No need to worry about the details as our configuration wizard will automatically select all the needed parts based on how you answer some simple questions regarding the setup of your phone system.

You're probably saying to yourself "This sounds to easy". Trust us, it is. Let's get started.

Number of Phone Lines

First we need to know how many telephone lines from the phone company you are using or going to use on your new phone system. If you are going to have a dedicated fax line, then you do not need to include that in the total.

One other thing we'd like to bring up is line "Hunting". Hunting is not a function of your phone system but is a service that is provided by the phone company where if someone calls your main telephone line and it is busy they will direct the call to the next phone line in the hunting order.

Keep this in mind when ordering lines from the phone company as you want to order as many lines as you think you will need for incoming and outgoing calls, so that your customers will not get a busy signal.

Chose how many outside lines will you need?

Voice Mail

The Avaya Partner ACS has 3 different voicemail options. For inexpensive and basic voice mail functionality we have the Partner Voice Messaging PC card which come in two sizes of either 4 mailboxes or 12 mailboxes.

These pcmcia cards plug in to a slot on the Partner ACS Controller card and allow you to assign a password protected mailbox to an extension which the owner can record their own personal greeting. When a caller reaches your mailbox the voice mail will play your personal greeting and allow the caller to leave message which will then activate a message light on your telephone. The message can then be retreived from any telephone on the system or from a remote location. These Partner Messaging PC cards also have the ability to act as an auto attendant, but only have 1 main greeting that can be recorded.

For companies that need more then 12 mailboxes and a more extensive feature set, we have the Partner Messaging R7 Module. Partner Messaging R7 has all the bells and whistles that voice mail can offer. The R7 can handle up to 200 Mailboxes and has a 100 hours of storage. Other features include Day and Night Greetings, Dial by Name Directory, Unified Messaging, 4 Auto Attendants and Message Notification to a pager or number.

What are your Voice Mail needs?

I currently do not require voice mail I have very basic voice mail needs and require only 4 mailboxes or less I have very basic voice mail needs and require only 12 mailboxes or less I have advance voice mail needs and require more than 12 mailboxes and Auto Attendant.

Message on Hold Player

A national study published by the North American Telecommunications Association reported that callers with Silence-On-Hold will abandon their calls in less than one minute and 90% hang up within 40 seconds. Callers with Music-on-Hold will stay on the line 30 seconds longer than with only silence and with Information-On-Hold will stay on the line for up to 3 minutes longer. With stats like these you can see how important a Message on Hold Player can be to your business.

The unit has 64MB of on board memory preloaded with over 228 minutes of great sounding licensed music content, so it's ready to go right out of the box. Add new content to the player by connecting to a PC via the USB port or just slip in a Secure Digital (SD) Card with new content. By adding a SD Card you can increase the memory to 1GB.
